Portrait Photography in Savannah, Georgia
Most team pages are a mess of mismatched photographs — one taken in a studio, one cropped out of a wedding, one from a conference badge in 2019. It reads as disorganized before anyone has read a word about what the company does. A portrait's job is to make someone look like the professional they already are, and to look like it belongs beside the others. Matte Black Production photographs executives, teams, and individuals across Savannah and the Georgia Lowcountry.
Editorial & Environmental Portraits
Some portraits need to say what a person does, not just what they look like. Environmental work puts the subject in their gym, their shop, their kitchen, their bay — and treats the location as a second subject rather than a backdrop. We've produced this kind of portraiture on assignment for national print, working to a publication's brief and delivering on their deadline.
Experience includes editorial portrait assignments for national magazine publication.
Family Portraits
Most families book because the photograph in the hallway is four years old and one of the kids in it is now taller than their mother. We plan sessions around the youngest person present, since that's who actually determines how long you have; group shots first while everyone is still fresh, smaller combinations after, and wardrobe guidance sent before the day rather than after. Sessions run at your house, on location, or in the studio. Nobody gets asked to say cheese.
